Finally, none of the remaining perks offered by owning a PS Plus membership will be affected by the change which includes access to online play, saved data storage and free monthly PS4 titles. Furthermore, PS3 and PS Vita titles will remain a part of the monthly allocation from now until the aforementioned date. Sony were quick to assure players that previously downloaded PS Plus games on these consoles will be unaffected by the decision, stating that they will ‘remain playable for as long you remain a PlayStation Plus member’. Subscribers are also beginning to receive emails confirming the news, providing exact details regarding both the timescale and nature of the change. PS Plus subscribers have been made aware of this via Sony’s announcement on the official PlayStation blog earlier today. Starting next year from March 8 th 2019, Sony will officially stop providing free PlayStation 3 and PS Vita titles as a part of their monthly games allocation with PlayStation Plus. The seventh generation takes one final breath.
